PII

Personally Identifiable InformatIon (PII) s any information that can be used to uniquely identify an individual either directly or indirectly, such as a Social Security Number, driver's license number, or bank account number. PII is subject to a wide range of regulations, including national legislation such as GDPR or PIPEDA, local legislation such as CCPA, as well as industry-specific laws and regulations such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
