A Database Management System (DBMS) is software that is used to define, create, store, and manage a database. The DBMS allows users and applications to insert, manipulate, and retrieve data that is stored in the database. Common examples of DBMSs include Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.
