MFA
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a system that requires a user to supply more than one means to prove their identity prior to a login or other transaction. Identifiers typically are selected from independent categories for the best assurance. Common categories used in MFA include something the user knows (such as a password or pin), something the user has (such as a hardware token or mobile device) and something the user is (such as a fingerprint or other biometric identifier.)
